چکیده

The transformation of petrol based polymers towards more sustainable and biodegradable materials includes the development bio-based pigments for mass coloration. Dye lakes prepared from aqueous plant sources could allow a substitution synthetic with material. shaping thermoplastic melt extrusion step at higher temperature e.g. 245 °C polyamide 6, thus suitable natural dye must exhibit sufficient thermal stability. Thermogravimetric analysis differential scanning calorimetry experiments aluminium canadian goldenrod onion peel demonstrated stability up to °C. In isothermal treatment onset colour change was found near 220 °C, where only minor changes CIELab coordinates were observed. Thermally treated also tested in miniaturised dyeing using wool as substrate. Remarkably test dyeings on samples remained constant studied withstand temperatures applied polylactic acid or 6. Thus by selected renewable resources be promising greener polymers.

Extraction, Identification and Thermal Stability of Anthocyanins from Eggplant Peel as a Natural Colorant

In the present study, various mixtures of aqueous ethanol and acetone solutions were utilized to extract anthocyanins from eggplant peel by a discontinuous process to obtain a natural red-purple colorant. First, the most appropriate combination for extraction solvent was selected as ethanol 70 wt in water acidified with acetic acid 3 wt, which was determined by analysis of extraction yields and...

A dye sensitized solar cell using natural counter electrode and natural dye derived from mangosteen peel waste

Mangosteen peel is an inedible portion of a fruit. We are interested in using these residues as components of a dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC). Carbonized mangosteen peel was used with mangosteen peel dye as a natural counter electrode and a natural photosensitizer, respectively. A distinctive mesoporous honeycomb-like carbon structure with a rough nanoscale surface was found in carbonized ma...

Efficiency in phenol removal from aqueous solutions of pomegranate peel ash as a natural adsorbent

Background: Phenol is an organic pollutant found in industrial effluents that is very toxic to humans and the environment. This study used pomegranate peel ash as a natural absorbent to remove phenol from aqueous solutions. Methods: In this study, pomegranate peel ash in different doses was used as a new adsorbent for the removal of phenol. The effects of contact time, pH, adsorbent dose and i...

Effects of Sensitization with Natural Pigments on the Performance of Dye-sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC)

Three natural pigments including wild iris, black pomegranate bark and black grapes were used as sensitizer in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on TiO2 nanoparticles. The results showed that the DSSC made of black pomegranate bark was more efficient than the other cells due to its strong bonding with TiO2 nanoparticles. Longer electron lifetime, lower electron recombination, and lower...

Sawdust as a natural and low cost adsorbent for the removal of brilliant cresyl blue dye from water samples

Sawdust which is the main waste from wood industry has been used as a raw material forremoval of Brilliant Cresyl Blue toxic dye. The effects of various parameters such as pH,electrolyte concentration, adsorbent dose, contact time and agitation rate were studied for theremoval of the dye in a concentration of 50 mg L-1. The optimum condition for the studiedparameters was applied for various con...
